RAFTING, HYDROSPEED, AIRBOAT, CANORAFT, MINI-RAFT, STAND UP PADDLE
The Northern Alps offer superb mountaineering and white water. In a 1 hour radius we have many beautiful rivers which are all very different, yet compliment each other.
Whether you’re in Chamonix, Megève, Morzine, Thonon, Evian, Annecy and more so in Passy or Samoens, the Ecolorado Rafting Team guide you from one river to another, from one activity to another.
Rafting
Like rivers, Rafting changes with the seasons. This recreational sport can be intense and committed on the Dora Baltea and the Giffre when it’s in full volume. It’s less challenging on the Arve and fun on the Giffre and Dranse when they have less water. You choose the river depending on your experience, the composition of your group and the season. We welcome all, from families of 3 generations to sports clubs who want to enjoy a great time as a team. Rafting is a true team sport that brings people together.
Hydrospeed
It’s time to jump into the water!! You’re kitted out with float and flippers and you have to make an effort, there’s no resting on your laurels with Hydrospeed. When you’re in the current, you’ll enjoy the waves and glide and slide downstream. When you want to stop you have to kick with all your might to reach the eddy. When you’ve all regrouped, listened to the instructions from your guide for the rest of the course, you get back into the waves.
Canoraft / Airboat / Mini-Raft
All of the guides at Ecolorado Rafting are passionate about Canoeing and Kayaking; the Airboat and Canoraft are similar activities. When the volume is high they will be stable and eat up the waves. With less water they are nippy between the rocks. In all cases you will need to paddle to be in control of your descent. Our rivers are sporting and technical; our carefully selected boats will allow you to tame them, whilst learning to navigate white water in excellent conditions.
Since 2018 we have introduced Mini-Rafting on the Arve and it’s great!
Stand up paddle
The latest addition to our activity family, and it was love at first sight! Stand Up Paddle is a very versatile activity. It’s about relaxation, using balance, having fun and taking in the scenery. It’s also about surfing waves and challenging yourself on sporting rivers. You will probably know of SUP on the sea, but the Ecolorado Team will teach you the river code and you’ll love our different descent options.
